THITH DEBUT EP
Posted on 3/29/10 by Jay
Since last summer we’ve been hard at work writing and recording. We finished everything in December ending up with enough for both an EP and an LP.
On May 18, Warp will release the first batch, our debut EP, ‘This Desert’. The 6 track EP is the more ethereal, gauzy side of our tastes; the Summertime-Gothic & dreamy tracks we made thinking they’d go well with open hydrants and looks that kill.
(from THITH ZINE)
Listen to "Ghosts" from "This Desert" below.

Track list for "This Desert"
2. Tom Tom

The Winter Of 2010
Posted on 2/16/10 by Au Revoir Simone

Well, well, Au Revoir Simone is finally on a little break after years of touring and making records. And by little, I mean little. Heather's off to school for a semester to work her way through the long, dark (but exciting!) tunnel of education towards her dream of becoming an astro-biologist. And have we been idle while she studies Chemistry and Biology and a bit of Art Appreciation? Oh, not by the hairs of our chinny chin chins! We taped an episode of Dinner With The Band this week, which was quite the fun experience, to say the least. If you haven't seen it yet and happen to have cable, you can check it out on IFC when it airs in April. The program combines two of my strongest loves - cooking food and playing music - into one double whammy of a show. We learned how to make fresh beet kimchi salad and that you can (and should, from time to time) poach an egg in soy sauce. Welcome to Yumstown. We're also prepping for our first show ever in Singapore (!) and a early June show in Paris with Air (!!!). And in the meantime, Erika and I have started Djing quite a bit and playing in lots of different projects. I have to make a shameless plug here for my other band (a rock band! with boys!) called Uninhabitable Mansions. Heather is captain of our fan club and came to our last show equipped with a huge sign emblazoned with hearts proclaiming "Annie Rocks," which made me blush so hard I lost my place in the song. Oh, dear. Love, Annie
